Hi My name is Dr. Jaleen Sims, affectionately known as Dr. Jay

I'm so glad you are here!

I wear many hats! 

~At home, I'm a wife, mother, sister, niece and friend

~In the Professional world, I am a practicing Board Certified Obstetrician Gynecologist at Jackson-Hinds Comprehensive Health Center in Jackson, Mississippi, a Maternal Health Consultant for the Mississippi State Department of Health and the Associate Program Director for Wellness, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in the OBGYN residency program. I'm also an educational and motivational speaker.

~In the community, I'm also the Co-Founder and Vice President of Sims Foundation of HOPE, a small non-profit organization that seeks to enhance the lives of underserved individuals and communities. Our foundation has done this by hosting an annual conference for middle and high school girls, aimed at promoting health/wellness, career/personal development/positive self-images. We also host community baby showers.

I have special interests in health care advocacy, maternal health sexual health, teen health, and health disparities.

My Mission

EDUCATE: If you don't know, you just don't know, right? My goal is to educate you on women's health and wellness topics that will help you make decisions that can be life changing for you! Always remember, YOU are the expert in YOU!

MOTIVATE: Sometimes all we need is a motivational word to persevere! I'm an open book...I share my experiences in life and medicine to motivate you to be the best YOU in this life. I will engage with you or your business as a motivational speaker and/or writer right here or by invite. 

​

CULTIVATE: Through mentoring, I help you foster the skills and dreams you have to bring out what God has designed you to be! I currently do this through mentoring medical students as they navigate their paths in medicine and with our Imagine You conference for middle and high school girls.
